What is rentahome?
A place to find rental homes advertised by property management companies across Aotearoa New Zealand. Rentahome is powered by PMGuide (opens in a new tab), which hosts the directory of property management companies behind the listings.
Are these rentals from private landlords?
No. Rentahome shows homes from property management companies listed through PMGuide, not private-landlord ads. A company appearing here does not mean rentahome has inspected the property or guaranteed the tenancy.
How do I apply for a rental or book a viewing?
Open a rental to see its contact options. Where the manager has provided an online application link, you’ll see “Apply now”. “Book a viewing” takes you to the manager’s property page when one is available; otherwise you can enquire by email or phone if those details are provided. The property manager handles the application and viewing, not rentahome.
Why can’t I see an Apply now button on some homes?
The button appears only when the company has a PMGuide Pro subscription and has supplied a valid secure application link. You can still use the available viewing or contact option on that rental’s page.
Why is a home missing, or why does it have no photos or price?
Only currently active rentals appear. Photos, rent and other details depend on what the property manager has supplied. A home may no longer appear if it has been taken off the market. If a listing looks incomplete, check with the manager using the contact details on its page.
Who should I contact about a rental?
Contact the property management company named on the rental’s page. Rentahome displays the advertisement but does not manage the home, arrange viewings or process tenancy applications.

Start with a free PMGuide account (opens in a new tab) and claim your company. Once your claim is approved, use Manage listing on PMGuide (opens in a new tab) to opt in to rentahome and provide your rentals page or connect a supported feed. Does listing on rentahome cost anything?
PMGuide’s Free (Basic) plan is $0 and includes a directory listing and free rental distribution to rentahome when your company opts in and its listings are available. Pro is an optional paid plan; check PMGuide’s current plans and pricing (opens in a new tab) for details.
What does PMGuide Pro add on rentahome?
Pro adds premium placement and an online “Apply now” button when you supply a valid application URL. PMGuide also lists a company listings gallery, enhanced profile and performance analytics among its Pro features. Your standard rentahome company page may still show current rentals; the Pro gallery is an additional PMGuide benefit. See PMGuide’s plan comparison (opens in a new tab) for the full list.
Why don’t I have a company listing gallery?
If you mean the PMGuide company gallery, that is a Pro feature. Check your PMGuide plan (opens in a new tab). If you mean your rentahome company page, it shows your active rentals when they have been received and matched to your company; it can appear empty when none are currently active. Check that your company claim and rentahome opt-in are complete in Manage listing (opens in a new tab), and that your rental source is connected. A PMGuide Pro subscription alone does not create rental ads.
How do I add an Apply now link to my listings?
In PMGuide’s Manage listing (opens in a new tab), open your company details and enter a secure link under “Tenant application URL (optional)”, then save. Rentahome displays “Apply now” on your rental pages when the company is marked Pro and that URL starts with https://. This is a company-level link, so use a form suitable for your rentals; if you need property-specific applications, confirm with PMGuide how your form handles the property selection. Without Pro or a valid link, renters see the available viewing or contact option instead.
Where do landlord enquiries go?
The free PMGuide directory helps landlords find your company. PMGuide lists receiving landlord enquiries as a Pro feature, not a promise of the free plan. For how enquiry delivery works, check PMGuide’s FAQ (opens in a new tab).
